Thomas Ogalo, known as Big Tom, spent seven years hosting international volunteers, planning their trips across Kenya during their free time. He saw firsthand how distant, expensive, and profit-focused many tour companies could feel, leaving travellers wanting more authentic care.
Donge Ber was built to offer something different: careful planning, deep local knowledge, and a real human connection before a guest even boards the plane. We focus on your safety and happiness, turning simple journeys into meaningful life experiences.
Why the name Donge Ber?
Donge Ber is a common Dholuo phrase meaning “It is good.” The name was inspired by the joyful way children excitedly ask their parents “Donge? Donge? Donge?” after something special has been done for them. We want every guest to share in that same feeling of pure, unfiltered wonder.
